\n Trugoy the Dove<\/strong> in 2023, and includes previously unreleased vocals from him.
\n It is the sixth and penultimate installment in Mass Appeal\u2019s \u201cLegend Has It\u2026\u201d<\/em>

\n In March 2025, De La Soul teased a reunion with their former producer
\n Prince Paul<\/strong> for a new project. The group previously collaborated with
\n Prince Paul on their first three studio albums.\n<\/p>\n\n On April 16, 2025, Mass Appeal<\/strong> announced the Legend Has It\u2026<\/em> series,
\n a seven-album run released throughout 2025. The series featured projects from artists
\n including Nas & DJ Premier<\/strong>, Ghostface Killah<\/strong>,
\n Raekwon<\/strong>, Mobb Deep<\/strong>, De La Soul<\/strong>,
\n Big L<\/strong>, and Slick Rick<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n Cabin in the Sky<\/em> was officially released on November 21, 2025.\n<\/p>\n
\nCritical Reception<\/h3>\n
\n The album received widespread critical acclaim. On Metacritic, which assigns a
\n normalized rating out of 100 based on reviews from mainstream publications,
\n Cabin in the Sky<\/em> earned an average score of 81<\/strong>, based on
\n 11 reviews \u2014 indicating \u201cuniversal acclaim.\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n Robin Murray of Clash<\/em> wrote that \u201cthere\u2019s no need to know the full context to enjoy
\n Cabin in the Sky<\/em>,\u201d adding: \u201cAs one of the most straight-forwardly enjoyable
\n hip-hop albums 2025 has offered us, you\u2019d be hard-pushed to top it for entertainment.\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n NME<\/em> critic Fred Garratt-Stanley commented:\n<\/p>\n\n\n \u201cWhile De La Soul\u2019s social commentary is incisive, at its core this is an album
